ABOUT ME

Hello, I am Katrina and I am a long life nature lover. I've always found solace and clarity in
the natural world. From a young age, I've experienced a sense of peace and
rejuvenation by simply being in nature. Feeling the soft wind embrace or snowflakes on my face, listening to the sounds of the woods, and smelling the air enriched with wildflower blossom or sea breeze invigorated my mind and body. This helped to clear the
senses and make decisions in a calm state of mind.

I'm passionate about natural products because they offer us energy, relaxation,
balance and well-being.

I often suffered from problem skin, and I struggled to find products that were
healing, cleansing and natural at the same time. On my journey for finding the
solution I created a product (Sea Salt Soap) that meets my needs.

Listening to my friends' desire for very gentle, natural soaps, often with natural
scrubs, I developed a range of products that are designed for various skin types and personal preferences. It was only a beginning to the journey of crafting natural products.

MISSION

Our mission to harness the therapeutic benefits of natural ingredients and bring a piece of nature to your home. Our
natural products are to help you connect with your inner self and the world
around you through ingredients, scent and appearance.

Our soaps are that not only gentle on the skin and pure but visually echoing
nature's beauty. They are crafted with only natural dyes.

Hugs of Nature candles evoke the essence of nature by appearance and scent. Our
botanicals are often sourced from our or local gardens.

VISION

We aspire to achieve growth by pouring love and expertise
into high-quality, unique natural products, carefully formulated to meet our friends' needs and desires with nature in mind.

We dream of our little family business blossoming through
ongoing learning, and with each step, we're excited to introduce new and
thoroughly developed product lines in the future, such as lip balms, creams,
body butters, and essential oil blends.

By keeping packaging and marketing simple, we allow the
value of the quality to be directly passed to fellow nature lovers, and the
products to speak for themselves. We are gratefully relying on your feedback
and referrals to grow organically.

VALUES

At Hugs of Nature, we craft our products with sustainability in mind, prioritising natural formulations and avoiding artificial products and harsh chemicals wherever possible. All our ingredients are sourced from reputable suppliers.
We choose not to use certain ingredients and materials due to our commitment to purity, well-being, and environmental responsibility:

Mica: Although mica is a natural mineral, the vibrant colors commonly seen in cosmetics are achieved by coating it with synthetic colorants. In contrast, we exclusively use clay and plant-based colorants sourced directly from nature in our 100% natural soaps.

Titanium Dioxide: We avoid using Titanium Dioxide in our cosmetic products due to its potential nano-material nature. We recognize the concern that nanoparticles may penetrate the skin barrier and affect DNA. For Hugs of Nature, the decision is clear: we believe naturally white soap can be achieved through thoughtful formulation, and we see no compelling reason to include a potentially concerning substance in our cosmetics.

Palm oil: This is another ingredient we avoid. Although palm oil is a great component for soapmaking, we aim to minimize our negative impact on deforestation as much as possible.

Plastic: We minimise our use of plastic and prioritise other sustainable materials like paper and glass for our packaging.

Furthermore, we use the purest available bases to create our diffusers, room sprays, and perfumes. Ultimately, our core value is staying close to Nature in everything we do.
